~7 years involved in rescue cases and has had much success in that. Has rescued and succesfully re-trained and re-homed
 over 25 horses and ponies and still continuing to do so!

~9 years managing, training and giving lessons.

Mattie has been actively involved in the horse world for 13 years showing to rescuing, rehabbing and training multiple horses. She has shown throughout Virginia doing Equitation, Jumpers, Hunters and Western Events. Now she is becoming more active in the Event World and training. Mattie not only enjoys coaching at shows and training but has a real passion for it. All of Matties horses that she has trained/showed have always been in the top 3 ribbons!

Mattie is extremely passionate and deeply involved in rescuing and working with abuse/neglect cases and has been very succesful. She has an unlimited amount of patience and understanding as well as the knowledge to physically and mentally bring along each horse.

Mattie has many years experience in managing, she gained this by working with and running a 34 horse barn. She is extremely knowledgeable in horse nutrition, and all around horse care on the ground. Mattie has started numerous horses English and Western who have went on to lesson horses, trail horses, and successful show mounts for juniors and adults. She produces confident, calm, talented and willing horses/ponies inside the ring as well as outside of the ring. Previously working with Quarter Horses for lesson programs and preparing them to sell and has also worked with ponies on becoming calm show mounts for children as well as lead-line ponies for "Pony Parties". She also enjoys working with foals and younger horses to build a solid foundation and LOVES to work with Thoroughbreds that need rehab or layup time.

Mattie also enjoys giving beginner-advanced lessons and loves going to shows with the kids. Lessons are available from young to old, beginner to advanced we love encouraging the horse enthusiasm! Mattie over all is qualified for any job that presents itself with a horse and loves to take on problem horses as well.
